Jackie of Roots and Wings wanted a redesign of her blog. She felt her current design didn’t reflect her true vision for her blog: a place to share her classroom journey, project work, nature study and reflections with other kindergarten teachers.
Jackie purchased a beautiful illustration by Julie Woolf Illustration to be used on her blog and felt that it had the look, feel and vision she wanted for her blog. So I used that illustration and got to work on her blog colors, design and layout and her new design came out just beautifully!

A Quick Interview with Jackie
What were three items of frustration you faced with your blog/website before working with me?
I wasn’t very frustrated with my previous blog, it worked fine! It just was very generic and I was looking for something that better reflected me. I also wanted it to be better organized.
What was the big “a-ha” moment when you decided you needed a change?
I belong to a Tailwind Tribes group for bloggers and I was looking at some of their blogs and posts and felt that I really needed to up my game a bit!
What made you decide to book your project with The Posh Box?
I really can’t remember how I found Posh Box. I did post on some Facebook groups that I was looking for a web design and someone must have listed you. What made me choose Posh Box was the time and care you took in the beginning before I had even signed a contract – how you made up a mock up using the template that I was interested in. That was a lot of work and I appreciated the extra time you took as I was shopping around. No one else did that and many just seemed too busy and didn’t want to deal with a custom template.
What were your initial design goals for your project?
To create something that reflected me and my philosophy of education.
What was your favorite part about working with me?
You were sooooo very nice and pleasant in all your interactions! It was a bit of a stressful experience for me, just because of my own high expectations, and you really helped me feel at ease!
Did you enjoy working through my design process via Trello?
Yes!
Do you want to share your pros and cons about Trello? What you did and didn’t like about it?
I liked how all our exchanges were in one place and I also liked knowing where we were going. It gave me confidence in you, that you had a very detailed plan laid out and that while this was an overwhelming process, we would take it one step at a time!
How was your overall experience?
My overall experience was very positive! I’m excited to be going into summer with a new look for my blog and many ideas for posts! I can’t thank you enough!
