This guide will explain in 7 easy steps how to start a basic WordPress blog or a professional website. I have included 3 BONUS TIPS at the end of the guide!
Before we get started, a few things to note:

2) To show examples, I will be using Twenty70Hosting for the web host and Domains Priced Right for the domain registrar. Name Cheap is also a great company to purchase your domain name from. I have used both for several of my own domains.
3) Following this guide will likely take less than 30 minutes; however, it could take longer. If at any time you get stuck, contact me and I will be happy to help you!
4) For both a blog OR a website, you will need to purchase a domain name (a yearly fee) and obtain website hosting (a monthly fee). The domain name will cost approximately $12.99 yearly. However, if you want to **protect your privacy**, this will be at an additional $4.95 per year (approximately). The web host will cost $10 or $15 monthly depending on the package you choose when you go with Twenty70Hosting. Instructions for both are outlined in the Guide.
**Domain Privacy Protection – When you register a domain name (with any company), all your information is added to a public database. If you don’t want people to see your name, address and contact details, select Domain Privacy Protection and Twenty70Hosting will appear as the registrant (you still have full control and ownership of the domain). This option protects you from hackers, spammers, and other unsavories from looking you up and having your private information.**
