Privacy Policy
At The Posh Box Web Design Studio, your privacy is my ultimate priority. I am consistently committed to protecting your privacy at all times, in all situations. I will never collect and share names, email addresses, home addresses, phone numbers, or credit card information. Your name and email address information are used only to communicate with you and will be kept strictly confidential. Your information will NEVER be used, sold, rented, disclosed, loaned, or traded.
Any information collected is for the sole purpose of The Posh Box design company and blog. Some information on how data is sometimes collected from you includes:
- Blog Posts: Your name and email address are collected on comments. The purpose of collecting this information is to display to other viewers to identify you as the person who left the comment. This allows for open dialogue and conversation between commenters. Your name and WordPress profile (if logged in) will be displayed, but your email address will not. The email is saved in case we need to contact you directly about the comment you left. You can choose to comment on the blog as a guest and only your name will be required. If you’d like your comment to be deleted, please contact me to request this action.
- Newsletter Signup: Your name and email address are collected if you wish to sign up for my free newsletter. This information is used to send you updates, tutorials, discounts, special promotions, etc., emails. If you’d like to unsubscribe and have all data erased, you can do so by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in any email from The Posh Box, or by contacting me. The Posh Box uses MailChimp for the delivery of emails. Please refer to MailChimp’s privacy policy for further information.
- Contact Forms: When you fill out any contact form on my site, your email address and name are collected when you submit the form to get in touch with me. This data is collected so that I can answer any questions you have, and to initiate a conversation about any of the services that you’re interested in. The Posh Box uses Contact Form 7 for all contact forms. Please refer to Contact Form 7’s privacy policy for further information.
- Payments: When you hire and pay The Posh Box for services, your payments go directly through Paypal. Paypal safely and securely processes payments without sharing your financial information with me or anyone else. Please see Paypal for their own Privacy Policy.

I am committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, I have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information that is collected.
Fair Information Practices
The Fair Information Practices Principles form the backbone of privacy law in the United States and the concepts they include have played a significant role in the development of data protection laws around the globe. Understanding the Fair Information Practice Principles and how they should be implemented is critical to comply with the various privacy laws that protect personal information.
In order to be in line with Fair Information Practices we will take the following responsive action, should a data breach occur:
- The Posh Box will notify the users via email within 7 business days
- The Posh Box also agrees to the individual redress principle, which requires that individuals have a right to pursue legally enforceable rights against data collectors and processors who fail to adhere to the law. This principle requires not only that individuals have enforceable rights against data users, but also that individuals have recourse to courts or a government agency to investigate and/or prosecute non-compliance by data processors.

When it comes to the collection of personal information from children under 13, the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) puts parents in control. The Federal Trade Commission, the nation’s consumer protection agency, enforces the COPPA Rule, which spells out what operators of websites and online services must do to protect children’s privacy and safety online.
This website and any products and services offered herein are not intended for persons under the age of 13. The Posh Box does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13 years of age. The Posh Box prohibits children under the age of 13 from using all interactive portions of this website, including leaving any comments, filling out forms, or otherwise submitting any information. The Posh Box will not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If The Posh Box learns it has any information or content from anyone under the age of 13, it will delete that information immediately.
(CalOPPA) California Online Privacy Protection Act
CalOPPA is the first state law in the nation to require commercial websites and online services to post a privacy policy. The law’s reach stretches well beyond California to require a person or company in the United States (and conceivably the world) that operates websites collecting personally identifiable information from California consumers to post a conspicuous privacy policy on its website stating exactly the information being collected and those individuals with whom it is being shared, and to comply with this policy. In accordance with the CalOPPA policy, The Posh Box agrees to the following:
- Users can visit The Posh Box anonymously
- The Privacy Policy will be linked on the homepage, or as a minimum on the first significant page after entering our website
- Our Privacy Policy link includes the word “Privacy” and can easily be found on the homepage
- Users will be notified of any Privacy Policy changes directly on the Privacy Policy page
- Users are able to change their personal information by Contacting The Posh Box
How does The Posh Box handle do not track signals? The Posh Box honors do not track signals and do not track, plant cookies, or use advertising when a Do Not Track (DNT) browser mechanism is in place.

CAN-SPAM Act

The Posh Box collects your email address in order to market to our mailing list and continue to send blog post emails to our clients after the original subscription has been confirmed.
In accordance with CAN-SPAM Act, The Posh Box agrees to the following:
- NOT use false, or misleading subjects or email addresses
- Identify the message as an advertisement in some reasonable way
- Include the physical address of our business
- Monitor third party email marketing services for compliance, when one is used
- Honor opt-out/unsubscribe requests quickly
- Allow users to unsubscribe by using the link at the bottom of each email
If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails from The Posh box, you can follow the instructions at the bottom of each email OR by Contacting me and we will promptly remove you from ALL correspondence.

What are cookies anyway? Basically, cookies are small bits of data stored on a user’s computer. They’re designed to help provide information to the website owner about visits and activities to help create a better user experience.
The Posh Box uses Google Analytics for cookies on this website. The information collected via this process is used for HISTORICAL RESEARCH ONLY and provides anonymized tracking within this site only. Your IP address is not linked to any personally identifiable information as it does not personally identify you on its own. In short, your IP address is only tracked to log your browser type and version, the pages you visit and the order in which you view them, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on each page, and where you are coming from. None of this information collected is sold, rented, disclosed, loaned, or traded. This is only a tool for me to better my business. On the very bottom of this website, there is a note about website cookies, how to find out more about my privacy policy, and a button that says “I Agree”.
